October 31st—Halloween night—Valley Alarm's headquarters transformed into a Halloween wonderland as hundreds of local families gathered for our annual Trunk-or-Treat event. What started as a simple idea to give back to our San Fernando community has grown into one of the neighborhood's most anticipated Halloween traditions.

A Tradition That Keeps Growing
When we announced this year's Trunk-or-Treat event back in September, we had high hopes. Those hopes were exceeded in every way. Families from across the San Fernando Valley came out in force, bringing energy, creativity, and Halloween spirit that reminded us why we do this every year.
The Numbers Tell the Story
This year's event was our biggest yet:
- Hundreds of trick-or-treaters visited our facility
- Dozens of decorated vehicles participated
- Dozens of pounds of candy were distributed
- Countless smiles, laughs, and unforgettable memories were created
More Than Just Candy
While trick-or-treating was the main attraction, this year's event featured several special touches:
Decorated Vehicles & Creative Displays
The San Fernando Valley Car and Truck Club Council brought their A-game, transforming their classic vehicles into Halloween masterpieces. From spooky graveyards to superhero headquarters, each station offered a unique experience for the kids.
Standout displays included a pristine vintage Chevrolet with elaborate skeleton decorations arranged on a colorful smiley face mat, a classic truck bed transformed into a superhero showcase featuring skeleton versions of Batman, Captain America, Spider-Man, Hulk, and Superman, and a beautifully decorated turquoise Corvair complete with scarecrows and pumpkins creating the perfect autumn Halloween scene.
The car club's creativity and dedication to our community made this event truly special. Their beautifully maintained classic lowriders and custom vehicles added an extra layer of excitement and nostalgia that families loved.
Safety First, Fun Always
As a security company, safety is in our DNA. We had designated trick-or-treat paths, well-lit areas throughout the facility, and team members stationed at every corner to ensure a safe experience for everyone.
Community Connections
Events like Trunk-or-Treat remind us why Valley Alarm has been serving Southern California since 1981. We're not just a security company—we're neighbors, parents, and community members who believe in giving back to the place we call home.
Special thanks to the San Fernando Valley Car and Truck Club Council for bringing their incredible classic vehicles and creating such amazing Halloween displays. The San Fernando Police Department provided presence and support throughout the evening. State Senator Caroline Menjivar's office and Assemblywoman Celeste Rodriguez (District 43) also participated, demonstrating the community-wide support for family-friendly events in San Fernando.
Looking Back, Looking Forward
Since our first Trunk-or-Treat event in 2021, this celebration has become a cornerstone of Valley Alarm's community engagement efforts. Alongside our participation in the Special Olympics Torch Run and support of local law enforcement initiatives, Trunk-or-Treat represents our commitment to being more than just a business – we're an active, caring part of this community.
Thank You, San Fernando
To every family who attended, to the San Fernando Valley Car and Truck Club Council for their incredible vehicle displays, to our team members who volunteered to help, and to everyone who helped spread the word – thank you. Your participation is what makes this event special.
We're already planning next year's event and brainstorming ways to make it even better. If you have ideas or suggestions, we'd love to hear them.
