On Monday, June 17th, Dave Michel and John Scott represented Valley Alarm at the Congresswoman Luz Rivas town hall, held at Bodevi Wine & Espresso Bar in San Fernando. The room was packed with community leaders, business owners, and first responders from across the 29th District.
What the Event Was About

Congresswoman Rivas spoke candidly about her first months in the U.S. House, touching on wildfire response and the ICE raids and protests that have been front of mind for many 29th District residents. She recognized Valley Alarm during her remarks, specifically noting the role local security providers play during periods of social uncertainty.
Who Was in the Room
Dave and John had a chance to connect with Tom Ross from Tekwerks, chat with LAFD Deputy Chief Jaime Moore, and meet members of Congresswoman Rivas's local support team. Good conversations across the board.
There were also leftover sandwiches. No regrets.
Why We Show Up
Valley Alarm's headquarters are in San Fernando. When a town hall covers community safety, local business needs, and what's happening in the 29th District, that's not an abstract policy discussion for us. It's about the neighborhoods where our clients operate, whether that's a construction site in Van Nuys or a small business in Sylmar.
Events like this keep us connected to what's actually happening on the ground. Th
