Meet Ashley May

Ashley May started in the security industry at age 21 out of North Carolina as a residential and commercial installation technician. Within 3 years his efficiency and work ethic demanded that he be promoted to becoming one of the youngest installation managers in the industry. As a manager, he was responsible for handling practical applications for specific jobs, efficient installation techniques, approvals of unique and cumbersome situations, as well as interaction with the end user for maximum value and customer satisfaction. He directly oversaw an operation of 10 employees and was responsible for the production and installations that numbered in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. As his experience grew, so did the job opportunities and he was soon in charge of the larger commercial projects that involved the specialization of Fire Life Safety, Area of Refuge, Security, Access Control, CCTV, Intercom and Nurse Call systems.

In 2006, he began working with Valley Alarm where he was further trained and certified in the state of California. Once again, Mr. May’s talents, work ethic and dedication to world class service proved successful as he became the company’s lead technician almost immediately. He did not stop there however, since then he has moved into the sales department where his prior technician experience and extensive product knowledge has allowed him to be on point with job costs, materials and construction time. He is also very experienced in dealing with city codes, the plans and permit processes and has built relationships with several southern California municipalities.

Mr. May is currently working to improve his education and knowledge through the coveted NICET program. This certification is the leading edge in Fire Life Safety knowledge. He currently resides in Burbank, CA.
